As part of Fiat's commitment to the environment, Fiat 500 has always been the predecessor of new technologies and features such as the tne Start&Stop system, ecoDrive with Blue&Me, and Euro 5 engines. During 2010 we will continue this even further by introducing the following new updates: - Start&Stop will become a standard feature on all Fiat 500 family versions. - A new Multijet engine with Start&Stop, less emissions and more power will be introduced to the range.

Fiat 500 will be the first model in the A segment to introduce Start&Stop as standard across the range. This new configuration will improve even further the fuel consumption and running costs of this car.

Fiat 500byDIESEL IN STOCK!
Fiat 500byDIESEL will see the debut of a new 1.3 16v Multijet engine that will improve even further the already excellent performance of the current 75hp diesel engine. The new Multijet will introduce a new variable geometry turbocharger that enable it to deliver up to 95hp at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at only 1,500 rpm.
The new engine will improve the cars performance, taking its top speed to 112 mph, reducing a 0-62 mph from a standing start to only 10.7 seconds, improving fuel consumption to 72.4 mpg and emissions to 104 g/km of CO2 in the combined cycle. The new engine, homologated Euro 5, will further improve the cars vocation for ecology. It will incorporate the acclaimed "Start&Stop" system which will reduce fuel consumptions around town, and will interfrate a DPF particulate filter inside the engine compartment for improved efficience and effectiveness from the moment the engine starts running after a cold start.
This engine will be the most powerful diesel engine available in the A segment and will be unique with Start&Stop system integrated.
New CO2 emissions
With the introduction for the Start&Stop system as standard the new Multijet engine, the Fiat 500 range will see a further improvement on the fuel emissions values. The combined CO2 emissions of the Fiat 500 range will have higher values lower than 110 g/km and not exceeding 135 g/km.
